Teaching Concerts
Clínicas
Markama offers clinics directed to Music Schools, Universities and to all those who may be interested in Latin American music. The clinics are about the improvement of the playing of Andean flutes, Andean strings and Latin American percussion.
The development of instruction on the playing of the “Markama” Chromatic Quena* has been a key accomplishment.
(*) Markama’s Quena was designed by Lars Nilsson taking as model the traditional one. This new revolutionary quena permits to interpret any musical style, at any tone. The incorporation of new holes makes the quena cromatic. Besides, it gives the chance to reach a better control of tuning and a very pure sound.
Teaching Concerts
Specifically tailored for Primary and Secondary schools, each teaching concert is an integral tour through the rhythms and instruments of the whole of Latin America.
More than 30 autochthonous instruments: winds, strings and percussion. Markama demonstrates the whole gamut through its pieces, with spontaneous participation by the students throughout.
This material, together with the huge experience that comes from the more than 300 concerts given has provoked a great success. The teaching concerts have been given in cities of Argentina, EEUU and Sweden. Students, teachers and parents have enjoyed and applauded this great experience.
